Summit Fundraising

Summit Fundraising work with charities around the globe to give them the confidence and practical tools to raise more large gifts.

“Alex was a joy to work with and I'd recommend for any business or organisation who wants to improve their email marketing and build a stronger community and business. She has all the technical know-how, but beyond that she's given me so much more confidence in my voice. I'm so delighted that people joining my email community will get messages that sound like the real me (without the sales tactics and techniques that I've always felt so uncomfortable with) Work with Alex, you will not regret it!”

Louise Morris, Founder of Summit Fundraising

When Summit Fundraising got in touch there was already a good basic email marketing programme in place and a chunky list of contacts but founder and managing director Louise was unsure on the next steps to really take the strategy to the next level.

Luckily, that’s what Maybe Later does best.

After an in-depth chat, we got down to the nitty-gritty. Yes, there was a great list of contacts but that list hadn’t been cleansed in a while, the emails themselves were missing that human touch and quite frankly, the welcome journey gave them the ick.

The best option for Summit Fundraising at this particular point in their journey was a two-month Foundations to Flourish project to really get things moving. First of all, we worked together to establish where they wanted to be as a business and set goals for the email marketing function within the team. This kept everyone on track, motivated and focused and meant that I could create a ‘Goldilocks’ plan just for them – juuussst right.

After gaining a clear understanding of the issues they were struggling with, it was time to get to work on some quick wins. A full platform and data audit was carried out spot any gaps and clean up the data on their platforms – this flagged any subscribers that were lurking on the list and hadn’t opened anything for a while. This was addressed with a re-engagement campaign to win back the hearts and minds of the subscribers who had been lying dormant and jazzing up the welcome journey to make sure it really aligned with the brand’s human-first tone of voice and clear purpose. The welcome journey was re-setup and mapped in a way that made sure it worked hard and was enjoyable and engaging to the audience we needed to connect with.

Every new subscriber to the Summit Fundraising contact list is given a warm welcome that embeds trust, lets them get to know Louise and understand how her specialist skills could support their organisation.

After our work together concluded in December 2022, Summit Fundraising came away with a clear, actionable email marketing strategy for the year, along with all the tools they needed to set quarterly goals.

Flash forward to today and thanks to cleaner data, a narrative led approach and bit of technical support the Summit Fundraising email community are more engaged than ever and discovery calls having increased, a clear win for the organisation.
